Poem: Where I Belong

Wandering through the night

Silence grows deeper

Darkness obscures, and I can pretend

The wolves are sheep.

Sunlight brings the shadows

Chases daydreams away

Shows the prizes out of reach

Exposed in their cage.

I retreat, back into the night

I am lost, but not alone

I walk with monsters

Here, where I belong.
